In addition to Jackie's excellent advice, I would add that while I did all Jackie says below I did then have to choose Alex from the rotor. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Brown" <jackieannbrown62@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi Steve Yes it works on the 5S. You need to go into Settings, General, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Speech, and select Alex. When it comes in, itmight not change automatically since there are some of us for whom this wasa bit of a pest. If you select Alex and it doesn't work, Ask Siri to turn off VoiceOver, then ask Siri to turn it back on again. If this fails, reboot your handset. If you still don't get Alex, reset your settings in General, and you should be good to go. I'm speaking from experience here, (smile). I may well bebarking up the wrong tree here but does IOS8 not come with the Alex voice for voice over or is that only on the new iPhone 6 models? If it does work on the 5S, can someone remind me how to change it please? Regards.
