Just think of GPRS as a gateway to the internet. You won't be able to
use the web browser on the phone to surf the net because the talking
software doesn't work with it. You can read your email which is done by
downloading them from the server like you do with a program like Outlook
Express. You can configure the settings so that you can leave copies of
the emails on the server if you want to read them on your PC later - in
the same way that you do now.

Hi all -

I've no real understanding of how I'll be able to use GPRS with my new
phone, or quite how the charges apply.

I think I understand that GPRS will allow me to connect to the web, and
view pages for free, Right so far? But if I download of upload anything
there will be a charge, is that right?

Does this mean, if I want to read e-mails I can do so on-line, like I
can from my PC? or do these some how have to be downloaded to the phone?

Answers to these questions would be grate, as would any other useful
info about GPRS and how to use it.

Thanks

Andy
