If an item is selected on the desktop, simply pressing control-space
will deselect it. Then you can right-click the blank area, point to new,
then folder. Hope that helps.

Hi List.
The subject pretty much says it all, how do you get a blank area on the desktop to create a new folder, shortcut etc.
Each time I go to my desktop something or other is always selected, I never seem to hit on the not selected message.
I could wait until this evening and get one of those mouse-user types to do the necessary, but I would like to get this sorted as soon as, if possible.
Oh, using JFW 7 with XP, if that helps.
Many thanks.
