Adrian, the person needs to install parental control software in order to have this capability. Windows Vista comes with such a feature out of the box, but I'm not sure how good it is compared to third party parental control programmes. However, it's accessible as usual <smiles>. Hope this helps.

Hi I have been speaking to a friend, they have aol broadband and have 3 or more pc's connected to one netgear router. They need to block one of the pc's from accessing the router after midnight. They want to be able to access the broadband connection themselves even though the one laptop is barred. They have been through all the settings on the router, there is no parent options on the router to set or be able to change. All the wireless connections in the area are secured. Is there anything they can do to stop the one laptop getting on line after a certain time without interfering with all the other pc's. I have suggested that they change their passwords but they are very reluctant to do this because it'll means resetting everything. They are not able to get any access to the laptop they want to bar because it is never left unattended. It has also been suggested that the router's encryption is turned on but this has already been done. The person concerned does not use aol to access the net but another isp but is connecting via my friend's wireless connection. There is quite a lot more to this but I am unable to go into it.
