Yes, I have the same issue, my machine has a male connector. For the

Again, I wish I could link to the one I use, but it's a cheap one I got
off dealextreme, I think, when Amazon didn't have these or had them at a far
more expensive price than dealextreme/geekbuying.

I use one of these, though not with a fire stick, and it works well.
I would link to my particular one, but it's one of the models from
China which I don't think is made anymore.
