Thank you so much. I will give it a go. I really don't understand why

I can ask such questions would be useful, and it's good news that it isn't
an awfully busy list. I spend more than enough time on this computer as it
is (smile)!

Hi Alison,
I haven't found a direct link for subscribing to the Blind Google Home
List,
but I managed to look at the e-mails from that list I had archived, and
it's
possible that
BlindGoogleHome+Subscribe@xxxxxxxxx
<mailto:BlindGoogleHome+Subscribe@xxxxxxxxx>
Might work for subscribing, although that's only a guess, as I took a guess
at the above link after reading the structure of the contact link for the
list owner which is
BlindGoogleHome+owner@xxxxxxxxx <mailto:BlindGoogleHome+owner@xxxxxxxxx>
I hope this information helps.

Thanks Alexander. I didn't know there was an e-mail list for Google Home.
We spent nearly all yesterday afternoon trying to re-enable the caldenar
function, but without success. It isn't the end of the world as I use the
calendar function on my iPhone and desktop computer, but sometimes it is
useful just to ask Google if I have anything on that day or to check the
time of an event.
If anyone else knows the e-mail subscription details for the VI Google Home
list, I'd be grateful.

Hi Alison,
I do have two Google devices, a Google Home speaker in the front room, and
a
Google Mini in the bedroom, but neither my wife or myself use our speakers
with the calendar function, as we generally use them for checking other
information, playing music, or in the case of the Google Mini, setting an
alarm to wake us up. We only use the speakers to check the dates of events
occasionally, so we don't actually use the calendar function extensively,
so
I'm sorry I can't really help much further, other than to suggest that it
might be of help if you were to post your query to the blind Google Home
e-mail list which is run on groups.io. I'm sorry to say that although I'm
a member of that list, I can't easily access their subscription details,
as
there haven't been that many messages to that list for some time.

I know many folk on this list have Alexa sharing their lives, but I
wondered
if anyone used the alternative, Google Home.
We received this as a reward for staying with our current BT contract last
year, and have been very pleased with, but today it is failing to interact
with our calendars.
I know there has been a recent update and wondered if this is a momentary
bug or whether there is something we need to do to interact once again with
our calendars.
