Hi Chris,

This is slightly different if you access IMAP on a phone.  The phone will
ask if you want to delete from the phone only, or from the phone and server.
You can decide at that time.

This is sort of correct. I forgot to mention that deleting mail doesn't
necessarily mean it's deleted off the server; mail clients by default mark
messages for deletion, so the next time the client connects to the server
the message(s) will be deleted during the synchronization process.
