Hi Steve
I'm not experiencing the crashes you describe to that extent, but what I do
notice particularly with JAWS 18 is that when I go into different folders I
have created in Outlook, for example, BCAB, or Access UK, I notice JAWS
says: "Outlook not responding," and it hangs for a good 20 seconds before
correcting itself. I am now using the 2018 JAWS beta and haven't seen this
happen once yet! (touching my head for wood.) This version does indeed look
more promising in several ways.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

Subject: [access-uk] Good news for JAWS and Outlook users
Hi all,
With JAWS 18, I was having constant crashing in Outlook 2016, which
switching between Contact, Calendar and the Inbox with Control-1, Control-2
and Control-3. Crashes to the point where Outlook would just close.
I loaded NVDA and the crashes were even worse.
I discovered this this is a bug in some of the UIA calls that Microsoft are
making.
But the good news is that in the JAWS 2018 Beta, the crashes seem to be
completely eradicated.
So I think they have hacked around it.
Well done VFO I say.
Just thought I'd let you all know.
All the best
Steve
