Hi Barry, Yes, you are right, 3G is faster, and packet data is only used when 3G = is not available. All the best -- Computer Room Services: =20 the long cane for blind computer users. I missread, i thought packet data was slower and only used when 3G was unavailable and 3g is faster? =D4=E0=06 ----- Original Message -----=20 From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, February 13, 2007 8:56 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Fw: n91 packet data attached Hi Barry, I do the opposite, and always use it when available. You get a much =3D quicker connection time, and the operators don't charge you for simply being connected, so it's like having Broadband. It also doesn't impact on the battery much, so I leave it at when available. All the best -- Computer Room Services: =3D20 the long cane for blind computer users. It had somehow defaulted to use it when available. In other words, it is a GPRS connection, the much slower data rate connection, but you will find sometimes that the phone drops back to = =3D3D packet data.
