Hi, Java has nothing to do with Javascript, despite they sounding similar in word terms! Java is a programming language used to write applications, known as Java Applets, whereas Javascript is a programming language designed to enhance the functionality of web pages. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maggie Norton" <maggie.norton@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Can someone please help with a friends' problem ?
He has previously been able to "remote record" programmes on sky via the Sky.com website. However, when he tries to do so now, a message comes up to say that Java scripts are disabled.
On investigation, they appear to be "enabled!"
He has gone to Java.com and attempted to download java again, but Jaws does not make things clear! Also, his verersion of java seems to be an earlier version than mine, but we cannot work out how to ensure he gets any updates. Can someone please throw any light on why this has suddenly happened and what we should do to rectify the situation?
Any help would be most welcome!
Cheers,
Maggie
