I am responding to your e-mail as there are two points that need clarification.
The first is that it is relatively easy to provide a word version of the
current PDF form on the DPRC website. I have set this in hand so hopefully this
should be resolved in the very near future.
However the second point about on-line renewal is an entirely different matter.
We regularly ask DPRC card holders whether or not they want an online renewal
facility. Only a small proportion want this and most people prefer to make
renewals via the telephone. In the end this is a business decision as the
benefits of offering on line renewals are outweighed by the costs involved. I
am not sure, therefore, what you mean about the comment that 'it isn't viable'
without trying it out?
