Glad that worked for you because the one time I turned that feature off

Hi folks. It would appear that my problem subscribing to Freelists
groups is solved. Turning off Outlook's "Remove extra line breaks in
plain text messages" feature seemed to do the trick. Many thanks to
James and Carol for their help.
