Hi Colin I was really very sad to hear about this. When I first started using the Internet (and bulletin boards in particular), Frank Haslam and Keith Rothwell were the two people who really helped me a great deal in those days to get up and running and answered a lot of questions for me. Frank was always very generous with his time and extremely helpful, I do remember that. ----- Original Message ----- From: Colin Howard To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, April 07, 2009 10:29 AM Subject: [access-uk] Frank Haslam. Greetings, Many listers will be aware of the many contributions made by Frank Haslam over a good few years. Frank was often very helpful and was always ready to advise or seek advice. It is with deepest regret that I have to advise listers, that Frank passed away at 1:15 this morning. As you may well be aware, Frank has been ill for a considerable time and latterly, i.e in 2007, having suffered a stroke, he was beginning to find the use of his computer system somewhat difficult and I am sure was very thankful for all the help members on this group were able to give. As yet, I have not been in contact with Barbara, so am at present unaware of any plans but, soon as these become available, I will pass them on to the group. From Colin Howard, who lives near Southampton in Southern England. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
