Hi Kirsty,

Although the ANSI table shows a three digit number, you need to add a zer=
o in front of it in Windows.

Hence a lower case u with diaeresis would be Alt + 0252, and Upper Case A=
lt + 0220.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Foreign characters in e-mail.

Hi all,
Not strictly access related but thought someone may know the answer to th=
is?

In Word, pressing alt, then a three digit number allows me to type charac=
ters such as =C3=BC. The list I have is for Times New Roman font, so I se=
t Outlook to this but can't achieve the same results when typing in an e-=
mail. Someone did once show me how to assign these characters to keys but=
I can't find the notes anywhere and would really like to be able to do t=
his and am running out of ideas to try!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

     Kirsty.
