Hi Geoff,

Sorry pal, I really don't have much idea to help you on this, only to suggest,
if your windows firewall is on, I'd try turning it off then try updating then.

Or even your anti virus, as it seems something is blocking this process. Good
luck

Robin.

  Hi Robin
  Many thanks for your reply.
The automatic update button is checked although I sometimes go to the site
and click on Install, on the updates, but since I have installed SP2 from the
disc, I get a message saying Update download unsuccessful.
  Regards
  Geoff

    Hi Geoff,

How do you know they have failed to download? Can you elaborate a bit more?

In control panel, under automatic updates, I take it you know about the
four options? Download automatically, download, but let me choose when to
install, download and install, and tell me, and finally, turn off automatic
updates.

Have you got this page set up right, and not perhaps the auto download
turned off?

    Cheers, Robin

      Hi
Could anyone help me with Windows Update.
I am using XP and have installed SP2 from the disk but since then
updates have failed to download.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
      Regards
