Welcome to Ai Squared's "Guess What?" series, an introductory look at the
highly anticipated release of Window-Eyes 9.0 Beta 1.

Today, we are proud to bring you the first in the Guess What series. We have
been hard at work vastly improving the web support for Window-Eyes. In fact,
we have completely re-written it from scratch. It is literally brand new web
support!

Window-Eyes 9.0 Beta 1 provides amazing support for ARIA and HTML 5 in both
Internet Explorer and Firefox. It allows you to use the latest versions of
either browser with ease. Additionally, dynamic web pages now function
seamlessly. With the new Browse mode, you no longer need to reload an entire
web page after a change has occurred. As you move through the web page, each
line is built on the fly rather than being put into a virtual buffer. This
means you get the most accurate information all of the time. And, with all of
this new technology, you don't need to worry about re-learning how to use the
web because all of the quick navigation keys function just as before. It truly
is the best of the latest technology and usability.

A good example of where the new Browse mode can benefit you is navigating
menus. For example, the Microsoft Enable website uses menus that have items
that appear if you place the mouse over the menu. When you Tab to one of the
new menu items, you can press Enter to open the menu and the entire menu will
read. This menu is not visible on the page until you open it. Window-Eyes
automatically takes you out of Browse mode so that you can interact with the
menu, it reads all of the menu items, and then you can Tab to each of the items
to interact with them. To close the menu, simply press Escape, and you can
continue to work with the rest of the web page. Window-Eyes 9.0 Beta 1 is
giving you complete access to this dynamic web content.

Another great example of this amazing web support is using
<http://www.twitter.com> www.twitter.com. Twitter has done a fantastic job of
providing screen reader users with keyboard shortcuts to read content that is
updated automatically. When you first access the page, you can get access to
all of this information. Suppose you are browsing your Twitter feed and a new
notification regarding new tweets appear. For sighted users, a notification
appears that you can click on. With the great new web support offered by
Window-Eyes, you hear that there are new tweets available and you can press
period (when out of Browse mode) to access the new tweet(s). Once you press
period, Window-Eyes takes you to the new tweet and you can start accessing them
right away.

The all-new web support doesn't stop there. Window-Eyes now includes
intelligent web support to make sure you get the best possible access to
websites. What does this mean to you? Unlike other free alternatives,
Window-Eyes is smart and tries to make web content more usable to the end user.
Web browsers like Internet Explorer provide screen readers with information to
speak, but sometimes that information can be faulty. Window-Eyes uses
intelligent web support to make sure that you always get the best web
experience. This can make buttons speak properly, field names speak properly,
and other items that you may encounter when browsing the web. Assuming the web
page has been made in an accessible design is always a concern for any screen
reader, but with the new Window-Eyes intelligent web support, you can browse
the web with ease.

We'll be covering a new feature in Window-Eyes 9.0 Beta 1 until its release, so
stop by our web site daily (www.gwmicro.com/beta <http://www.gwmicro.com/beta>
) to make sure you don't miss any of the exciting new features.

We hope today's "Guess What?" has given you a glimpse into the power of
Window-Eyes 9.0 Beta 1, and its innovative new web support.

Stay tuned for the next "Guess What?" to learn more about Window-Eyes 9.0 Beta
1!
