The BCAB annual summer event includes two exciting workshops this year, plus
lots of social activity. It's also a chance to have your say, and influence
the direction we take over the next 12 months.
Nokia mobile phones and GPS solutions
This workshop will look at the latest Symbian based Nokia smart phones.
Mobile phone expert Fiona Dunn will discuss the different accessibility
options for blind and partially sighted people, explore some of the latest
smart phone features, and explain why Nokia's built in GPS solution is worth
a second look.
Blogging with Wordpress
This workshop will look at the popular Wordpress blogging platform.
Experienced developer Darragh Ó Héiligh will explain how to setup your blog
on Wordpress, how to add extra functionality with Wordpress plug-ins, and
how to post your first blog entry.
Sight Village exhibition
Sight Village is the biggest technology exhibition for blind and partially
sighted people in the UK. It's the place to find out about the latest
cutting edge innovations, new products, and to talk to people about a wide
range of interesting topics!
