[access-uk] Error When Connecting IPhone to Sync With PC

I do hope someone can help with this one.
I'm unable to sync my IPod with my Windows computer at present.
I have updated my Itunes this morning, but this may have no bearing.
When I boot, having plugged in my IPod, I learn that a new digital camera is
detected and Jaws speech freaks out.
Have I inadvertently altered any setting on my IPod which would produce this
kind of error, please?
All suggestions very welcome. Thanks.
