Was out yesterday, so you may already have sorted things.
Not all USB to Parallel adaptors are the same, as we found to our cost some
time ago. The one we exclusively advise is from Maplin.
When you plug it in, it creates a USB Virtual Printer Port.
You now add a Generic/Text Only printer to that Port, which should then appear
in Devices and Printers.
Then set up your braille software to go to the new Text Only printer and
hopefully, all should be well.

Subject: [access-uk] Embosser
Hi all,
I have a pre-loved Blazer Embosser. The beast has a parallel and a seriel'
port. I've used a parallel to Usb lead. However, the laptop doesn't seem to
recognize the embosser, and I haven't any drivers etc. Any ideas please?
Thanks, bj
