Hi Amro, afraid that didn't do it. It use to be that it was set up using the Orange pop3 to receive, and the BT smtp to send. I wanted to change this to get rid of the BT server [even though for that machine, it is the ISP] and use the Orange smtp server instead, but I can't get it to work, like I said, mail comes in, but can't be sent! - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: Amro Bilal To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, September 03, 2010 10:33 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: EMAIL SMTP ERROR Try ticking the box that says my server requires authentication in email settings. I think it's in the server page. The ISP for that machine is BT Internet, and the email account is with Orange. I've set up the pop3, using pop.orangehome.col.uk for receiving mail from the Orange account, and that is working ok, but can't send any mail using smtp.orangehome.co.uk, I keep getting error number 530 I think it is, saying something about authorisation. Can anybody help me fix this please?
