The Intel Dual Core ranges have two processor cores within the single chip
architecture. You can run a 32bit Windows on these, I have such a machine.
Jaws installed onto it and seemed to function fine on XP Pro. There is
probably some optomisation that can be done for this type of chip as well
though most software will run somewhat faster on these chips anyway.

Can I ask Graham, or someone, are these 'dual core' processors the same
thing as computers with two CPu in them? For software to take advantage of
those machines I believe software had to be compiled to take advantage of
  dual processors.?

don't see why not. JAWS should work fine and the latest Dual Core 2
  processors are really fast apparently.

  Cheers

Hello All, I have been told that Jaws doesn't work very well with Duel core
processors is this true? I need to know this before I build my next
computer, so I would be very grateful for any help on this please.
