Hi Amro
Thanks for the download links. I have downloaded the file, installed the
scripts also.
My problem is that in the book list it does not show all the books I have
purchased. Secondly, I have downloaded some books but I cannot find where they
have been downloaded to.
Help would be appreciated.
Phil

Apparently my private email didn’t go through because of the attachment, so
here is another way for you to get the apps.
To install the Windows app on your computer, click the below link, and on the
page that opens, find the button that says get or install or something to that
effect and click it, then follow the on screen instructions to finish
installing it if you get any

Re the scripts, you can download/run it directly from the below link, and then
click the installer and follow the usual steps in the popup installation dialog

Please can someone give me the direct link to download the Windows
app and also the scripts – I do still have the email which has the
link previously given but I think that is instructions on how to use
it – far too complicated for me to follow.
Is there still a phone number to talk to someone from Audible, I did
at one time call them about downloads and they were very helpful
assisting me with downloading some books as it was quicker for them
to do it.

Hi Amro
I totally agree with you withregards to the accessibility of the
Windows Audible App, indeed, I raised this last year with Audible and
only recently repeated to their technical department the need for
more accessibility with this app.
Best wishes
Henry

I agree, Steve. I avoided the Windows app for a long time but things
are becoming more problematic with the download manager so I decided
to persevere and switched to the Windows app. I only installed it
yesterday so my experience with it is limited, but I am glad to say
that with the scripts it seems just fine to use, and downloading
books from what I’ve seen so far is completely manageable. My gripe
with it though is why Audible hasn’t made it fully accessible without
the need for extra scripts? They know that a good portion of their
customers rely on screen readers.
Best,
Amro

Hi,
I think Download Manager is going to become more problematic as
Windows updates.
Also, Audible no longer support it. So I would persevere with the
Windows 10 app if you want to download books to the PC.
All the best

Thanks for the links and for the information, I still don’t know
whether it would be an advantage for me to use the Windows app or
to
stick with download manager.

Hi all,
& nbsp;
First which format one chooses to download Audible books isn’t
related
to what app one uses to download the books as far as I know. In
library
one can choose format 4 or enhanced, and in the Windows app I saw
an
option to choose between normal quality and high quality which I
assume
between format 4 and enhanced.
Thanks to David who pointed out that Doug Lee wrote scripts for the
Windows app; I installed the scripts and they do make using the
Windows
app a lot easier.
For instructions on how and where to download the Audible Windows
app

And for the Windows app Jaws scripts go to

As I

I don’t use the Windows 10 app as the Windo ws 7 leafy software
still
works, even if it is clunky.
If you want to persist wit the Win 10 version I believe you need
to
use it with Jaws with Jaws scripts installed from Doug Lee’s Jaws
Scripts page.

I am not on my Windows PC at the moment but a Google search
should
find them.
