I'm sorry to hear of your experiences with the drive, perhaps you had a faulty
unit which isn't uncommon in today's pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap attitude to
budget consumer electronics. This is a host powered drive, so if the netbook
your using isn't providing sufficient power through its USB ports, you may have
to use both the data and power cables you are supplied with. I patronise
Samsung netbooks and have never experienced difficulties with these drives
which are excellent value for money. Sam, this drive is available from Play,
through their Play Trade program, look where it says "new and used".

Hi Sam and Ibrahim, I bought the CNM drive for my sun to use it with his Dell
netbook but unfortunately it gave us nothing but trouble. Not sure if it is the
Dell netbook not providing enough energy to the drive for it to function
properly, but the CNM drive isn't working with most of the CD's/DVD's we tried
playing using it. So I would say this drive isn't reliable at all from my
experience.

An excellent drive is available from Play, its called the CNM slimline DVD
RW drive. Simply search for CNM in the computing section on play, your sure to
find it, but let me know if you want a direct link.
