Hi David,

Yeah seems the specific Alt + Tab setting is missing from what you shared. What
version of Windows are you running? I’m running Windows Version 20H2 (OS Build
19042.906).

I’ve pasted the JAWS transcript below tabbing from the ‘Timeline’ setting. HTH.

That is weird as it is not showing here.

I post below a recording of what happens when I tab through Multitasking
settings here.

Maybe somebody could have a listen and tell me why I cannot hear anything to do
with Edge?

In fact Lu was right. There’s a combo-box under Multi-Tasking which gives
options regarding how many (including none at all) windows to alt-tab to in
Edge.

Hi David,

I think that is a bit of a red herring.

When Edge opens things so that you alt tab between them, it is opening websites
in new windows, instead of new tabs.

The answer I would suggest is not to close the browser, when you have finished
on one website, but to press Control T then type the address of the next site.
This will open it then in a new tab, and it will be in the same window.

All the best

Steve

I wonder if this has changed because when I went to check the Multitasking
settings the only setting I could find in r elation to alt tab now is the
option to confine alt tab to one or multiple  desktops.

Go to Ã¢â‚¬ËœMulti-tasking’ system settings for Windows and
you’ll find the Alt + Tab setting s in there. HTH.

Apologies if this has been asked before, I wouldn’t be surprised. The
behaviour of Edge Browser where alt-tab goes through every open tab is really
annoying me. As I can do this already if I want using ctrl-tab, it is
irritating beyond belief. I couldn’t find a way to turn it off in
settings. Please tell me I missed something!

Thanks

John
