Must say Richard I'm with Jackie on this one. The Milestone is a none starter quality wise. If I understand what you are asking then I'd say simply go for an external hard drive as they're so cheap now. I have a 500Gb Seygate or Maxtor - cannot quite recall which now - which seems plenty fast enough and I find I can very simply find files with a simple Windows find command (having named them sensibly to start with.) Yes, I know there are more sophisticated ways of going about this, and if MP3 tagging can be got to grips with, then searching might become easier still. Mind you, with sizes of external hard drives commonly in the hundreds of megabytes you don't have to use lossy formats like MP3 or even AAC now. If what I read and hear is true, then solid state drives of one or two hundred Mb will be with us in a couple of years, seemingly. He's a Window-Eyes user who wants to put his CD collection (about 200 discs) on to a Pc or digital device. He doesn't need portability, and sound quality and navigability of his collection is important. He's been advised to have a Milestone by one person, and to get a USB hard drive with CDEX by another. I've got an opinion, but really need someone to give me an independent view. Hope that's not too boring for you knowledgeable people. Thanks.
