Quite easy Barry. To read plain text as HTML in Outlook, go to the
edit menu and press E for edit, which makes the text editable.
Then, in the format menue, H for HTML.
You should now be able to read the email with your browsing commands,
including links.
You did say Outlook, didn't you? Works nicely for me in Outlook 2k.

Emails from the BBC, such as Ouch! and BBC News, appear in my in box

plain text even though I've got Outlook set to receive in HTML.
Emails from
other sources are fine. HTML is most useful for the BBC emails
because of
the hyperlinks. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to
