Interestingly I've just removed Auto-sizer from my laptop and now
attachments send perfectly.

Thanks for the help anyway.

Mandy.

Unfortunately I don't have other ideas.

In OE try the following. Go to tools/options, go to security tab and check
the box that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could

potentially be a virus" and tell us if this solves your problem

How do I reverse the process when opening an attachment?

Now they automatically open because I unticked the box saying always ask:
my friend originally had this problem and is using Microsoft Outlook whereas
I use Outlook Express.

Stupidly I unticked it to see whether I could find an answer to her problem
now we both need the answer.
