gives you turn by turn as well as look around functions.
Also, there is another paid app called GetThere. This relies though on Open
Street Maps, which are rubbish in the UK quite frankly.
There is also another free app called Nearby Explorer Online.
And one more paid app called Lazzus.
You pays your money and takes your choice, but there are plenty out there.

Go into Google Settings, I think you should be able to press and hold the
home button when on the home screen to bring up settings.
Go into Google Assistant, delete your voice model and retrain it.
You can also say Hey Google now as well.

Have recently updated from 8.0 on a Pixel 1. Before updating I could give
commands by saying “OK Google”. This no longer works though I can bring up
the Google screen by double tapping and holding the home button. I can then
issue verbal commands from that screen.
I rang the Google help desk who told me to look for a “more options” button
on that screen. I can’t find it. Any suggestions please?
