Jeff,

David is a radio ham like me, and he's assuming you know what he means by 'impedance' :)

The impedance of the source of the audio and the load (in this case the Aftershokz) should ideally be matched. The impedance is measured in Ohms. A standard impedance for audio, both source and load is 8 Ohms. But I doubt if the output from the laptop and the input to the Aftershokz are so mismatched as to cause problems.

It's more likely that the Aftershokz are simply being over-driven, which would cause the sound to distort and the Aftershokz volume control to have less effect than expected.

My Aftershokz work fine with my laptop and my Plextalk Pocket, but mine are not Bluetooth. There may be some difference in performance.

Hi - a bad message from me!

They won't be able to be altered, but just wondered if out of the range of
the PC - not likely, but would possibly cause distortion.

Are the impedances matched?

Hi all,
I bought the afshokz bluetooth headset.
with my BrailleSense the sound is fine and I can adjust it from the
headset.
on my laptop the sound is very distorted.
I have adjusted the volume on the laptop but the volume on the headset
will
not respond the distortion is awful.
Is there something I a%m doing wrong?
Cheers
Jeff
