I only know that there is a paid one and a free one, and the version I last tried wouldn't be the same, as it was a long while ago.

I take it you mean ad-aware, which is anti-malware software. It's produced
by Lavasoft.

Last time I tried it, it was totally inaccessible, so I hope they've
improved it.
