Hi Mo, I am using an Index Basic S. I am sure this would meet your requirements. Not sure where you are but I got mine from George Bell of Technovision in the U.K. He also supplies Duxbury Braille translating software which works perfectly well with this embosser. Hope this helps. Hello Everyone. I'm looking to buy a braille embosser. I have conducted research on various models from index, View Plus, freedomscientific etc, but would like some advice based on the following requirements for the cheapest model available. the embosser will be used for printing the occasional document in braille. The embosser ideally must come with some software that will allow me to print if possible, directly from microsoft word. the tiger embossers from View plus have this feature included where you can print directly what's on screen, but are there any other embossers that are cheaper that can do this? then there are software upgrade prices to consider when a new version's released. i'm not made of money, but on the other hand i'd be happy to support a company if they don't break the bank. Finally, although its not a major consideration the embosser needs to be small if possible as i'm only printing on A4 sheets. And of course, it must be able to support the latest operating systems. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, i'd be very greatful. Many thanks in advance, Mo. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
