We have a Hotpoint which has generally served us quite well but, be warned, you do need to keep all parts (recommended) well cleaned, especially the (what I call) middle part which you're supposed to clean about once a month. Failure to do this can result in breakdown.

Personally, I wouldn't go for this model again but just a straightforwad drier with a pipe going outside, but I realise that may not be an option for you.

Subject: [access-uk] Accessible dryers

Hi, I know we've talked at various times about accessible
washing machines and my usual advice is to spend a bit of
time looking in the shops to find a model you like, well
I do intend on doing that but am asking for other advice
as well. I'm looking for a dryer, preferably condenser,
suitable for one person that is either very easy to use
or can be fitted with a Braille front panel.
My first choice was going to be a Hotpoint and still
maybe, if they ring me back suggesting a model that they
can have a Braille panel fit to, but any other
suggestions anyone has. I'm also looking for something
that is energy efficient, especially as our electricity
prices keep going up. Cheers
Yusuf
