Yes, it does plug into HDMI and it does need power, but I plug it into a USB
socket on my telly.
You can say Play XXX on Netflix and it will do it.
You can say play anything on anywhere and it should do it.
Some of the third party apps though, such as My5, All4 etc, are a bit patchy
where accessibility is concerned.

Ok all you clever people.
I'm totally blind and I'm wondering how accessible the Amazon TV stick is
with Alexa.
I get that I can use Alexa functions, but what can I do re: TV channels,
programme guides, Net flicks, recording programs etc?
The other question is: Does the fire stick just plug directly into an HDMI
socket of my TV and does it need external power?
Any help would be very welcome!
