Dear Cdr Dua,
Firstly, it’s a good initiative and I wholly endorse it However being in the
General Insurance for over 20 years now I would give my own perspective which
needs to be borne in mind.
Inclusion of Pre existing diseases is the key as veterans would invariably be
suffering from diabetes and/ or hypertension. Out here I understand it’s
excluded.
Exclusion will not cover most of the key ailments pertaining to heart and
kidney as invariably the insurance companies would connect those to the pre
existing diseases of diabetes and hypertension.
Inclusion of Illustration table giving details of coverage with age and premium
would give better understanding of the subject.
You may call me if you wish to.

Gp hlth insurance is possibly a good initiative considering the way empanelled
hosps drag their feet in case the CGHS rates don't suit them or when their
dues pile up due to NA of funds as it happened FY2021. One has just subscribed
to Star Hlth through School Group. Rs 17500/- for 5 lac cover with option for
addl top up plans upto 5 lac for family of 4, child below 30 yr. Parent upto 90
yr also with Rs 16000/- 5 lac cover for single parent, both parents 20k. Incl
addl corporate cover of 30 lac( dont understand meaning). Larger the gp ,
lower the premium(elementary)

Dear Bipin,
Additional insurance maybe needed besides ECHS but not by this private venture.
Has been discussed in Hum Fauji group and has not been recommended.

Dear Chalapati
Sainik Seva Samiti is a welfare organization created for Welfare of
Officers only. We got together under lockdown 1.0 to help veterans
suffering with no plan B.
There are no profits being Charged and the organization is being run under
transparent Bye laws. All expenses are through Bank and audited. Audit
reports would be shared with members.
The policy for Sainik Seva Samiti has been specially designed for Serving
and Veteran Armed forces officers and veer naris. We had to undertake
several rounds of negotiations before we could understand about Mediclaim
and the areas where claims are curtailed.
1.Pre existing diseases excluded and no medicals required
2.No age bar for you or your parents or parent in laws
3.No waiting period
4.No Copay
5 Room rent proportionate clause increased from normal 1% to 1.5%
Icing on the cake this being a group policy the premium is almost
40%Cheaper with Cashless service available in 6300 hospitals and excellent
service available through helpline with brokers KM Dastur and TPA Raksha
I doubt if any one can get a better mediclaim policy including corporate
policies where premium is part of CTC.
Questions if any may be emailed on info@xxxxxxxxxxx
