yeah, back in early 90s they used to come out of Mussleburgh high
school/college, then along the straight alongside the horserace course,
favourite fun of us road cyclists to slide in behind then overtake &
giving an attempt at a cheery wave and saying hello just to make it look
like we werent trying.
Nowadays, people on shopper bikes do it too me - what goes around comes
around.

That takes me back. Almost everyone had the Yamaha FS1E when I was at school in 1977 and couple had the Honda CB50 but only one had a Puch and one had a Gilera.

Many thanks for good inputs.
For time being I’m considering the Valve index or taking the chance with Reverb G2. (I will be able to get a refund if it behaves like the G1)
I can get a (almost not used) second hand valve index to the same price as a new Reverb G2 but if I buy the G2 I will have a 2 year full warranty. Or I can give the Reverb G1 a last chance with a replacement headset (I have invested in prescription lenses for the G1 and they will not fit any other headset)
Life is tough. Will have to decide to morrow 😊
Off Topic. In the meantime I will try to finish off my latest project, Overhauling 3 Puch Monza Mopeds from 1979.

I certainly wouldn't buy the cosmos new, but find a good one on ebay like I did and you'll have a very decent headset. Rift S (ebay again) for 200-250€ also worth considering.
But new... Yeah I'd agree with both Colin and Moose on the Quest 2. This is coming from someone who's never tried the G2, having said that.

Hi Bo,
I think it’s really down to what’s out there, available and cost?
The main contenders are:
Valve Index
Quest 2
Pimax 8KX
G2
Cosmos
Valve Index you cannot get hold of for love of money and it’s expensive for the whole system €1000. Pimax sound dodgy of late and expensive €1000+, G2 with your experience of the G1 sounds like a no go. Cosmos not exactly cheap for the full set up. Quest 2 cheap and good(I do think it is good btw) for a stand in until the next Index 2 or Vive 2(rumoured soon, how soon?) come along. Also of course the downer is FB :(.
As a side note I have been trying to get DCS to run smooth of late, cannot get it to do so with the Index, the Quest 2 runs a lot better at a higher resolution than the index can. Also if you play any other PC-VR games Quest 2 ftw wireless;).
I know I am promoting the Quest 2 a bit on the last paragraph, but my first reasoning above tells the story at the moment, unless you know of any other headsets available?
Hope that helps
Colin

I have had my reverb Pro G1 for 14 months and so far I have got 4
replacement headsets and just recieved a cable replacement which
did not solve my present problem.
So I’m about to ask for my 5^th headset replacement. I must say
that I have lost my patience with this product and I’m thinking on
claiming a refund and try out another brand. According to forums
the HP Reverb G2 headset do have many of the same issues as the G1
so I’m not to keen on selecting a G2.
What do you guys recommend?
Best Regards
