They had to spot us first, and probably wouldn't until the flak started.
To beat us then, they'd have to have altitude/over our exit route,/ more
altitude behind us (which they had) simply wouldn't have done the job as
we extended.
That's why the exit route is so important - which I got wrong the
previous night when you spotted us.
