100% the Stalingrad map in either summer or autumn is really bad, I seriously
think it needs re-doing to match the other graphic updates. Even the light
reflections that you get on Rhineland or Kuban maps do not show up, I thought
it was just in VR but obviously not. Like Lee said it’s not even the long range
visuals, it’s close range aircraft they just disappear. As a rule we don’t fly
on the Stalingrad map unless it’s the winter version, but the options on the
Finnish map(running Stalingrad map this week) and CB really bad maps selection
has curtailed our flying massively this week.

Guessing you were on the Finnish Server, Stalingrad map, don't be too tough
on yourself Roblex, that map is hideous, yesterday Bart and I were recovering
to a friendly field and as we were approaching, at about 1km alt, we watched
a friendly take off down the runway towards us and as soon as he got away
from the sandy runway he just vanished into the "steppe" and we were both
watching him from directly above, we both laughed at how "impossible" this
was. so we logged as it seems pointless to go hunting while so "blind" on
that map. Kuban is better as are the 3 Rheinland maps.

I would like to apologise for my leadership last night, Boot often had to
guide me like a blindman :-) Some maps I say to myself 'I really love this
new visibility' and some maps leave me as blind as the previous system. I
really struggled to see the bombers against the ground last night. This was
made worse by the fact that every few minutes my view would suddenly flick
to looking at my headrest and by the time I had reset it I had lost track of
the bombers.
What I need to do more rigorously is take greater note of what ground
features the bombers are over when I can see them and look ahead to where
they will be next so when I cannot see them I can at least be looking in the
right place
