Obviously you disagree with my comment about turning off tech chat on servers
and asked where the indicators are for bomb delay and salvo settings in the Pe2
and A20. The indicators are in the bomb aimers position(represented by the
bombsight view) and not in the pilot's position ie the pilot's cockpit just
like they were not there in real life, so indicators found.
You can now set your delay and salvo which will take all of ten seconds tops(by
the way I know the A20 cannot do it on the ground), once you or your leader
have made up yours/their mind what it is to be.
Yes the aircraft goes into auto level mode I guess that is to simulate that you
are the bomb aimer and there is a pilot still flying the aircraft. If you are
worried that you might crash into the rest of the formation(because you are in
A20's and cannot do this on the ground), all the leader has to do is say to his
formation on the outward leg(sooner rather than later is best;)). Go level to
set delay and salvo setting, combat spread, tell the formation the setting, do
the changes, reform if there need be as you have time to do so.
There is nothing that cannot be done without tech chat at this stage, you just
have to work at it a little bit harder, instead of having it up in front of
your screen in a HUD. So if you had to go on to a server like TAW and you are
using your familiar aircraft it should be no problem ;).
As for the rockets on the Pe2 yes you are correct the rocket salvo indicator is
not in the bomb sight, it is in the pilots cockpit right side. As I am being so
kind I have put pictures of the salvo dial and settings you can use on the
forum:
https://56punjabvirtualsquad.boards.net/post/457/thread
I hope this helps:).
As with the P47 again you are correct no indicator, so lets put out there what
we do know. The default setting is single salvo(releases belly, left wing,
right wing,) next is underbelly salvo(releases belly, left wing, right wing,),
next is under wing salvo(releases both wings, belly). So with this information
it is not hard to know what setting your salvo is by using the bomb salvo
toggle button;). As a side note the rocket salvo indicator is behind the stick
for those that do not know;).
I guess learning russian cyrillic to fly the il2/Pe2, is that just like
learning German to fly the 109/190 if you dont know the languages, but there
are loads of videos and infomation out there to learn about the aircraft etc,
Japanese might be next ;).
Some of the aircraft mainly soviet aircraft don't have indicators for trim or
radiators settings, etc, not that I have found anyways(if there are some for
the fighters then please let me know:)). But that can be corrected by trail and
error or counting the wheel turns lol.
The only real answer is get to know your aircraft or aircrafts, and what you
want to do with it ;).
But alas all the above is a waste of time as all the servers bar one use tech
chat lol.

So you consider a bombsight view as in cockpit. And to use it, goes auto
level, so no longer follow leader or worse get too close, and before you try,
a20 cant be done on the ground. The rockets are not in any bomb sight. P47 also
has no indication whatsoever (because there wasnt one irl the jockey had to
pull the handles as required). An il2/pe2 you then have to learn russian
cyrillic as well.
I only mentioned dropped weapons, you mentioned controls not me at any point
for tech chat.
