Pheonix, send me a copy of this mission, I can change some the 190’s from air
start to airfield start, I’ll also make sure we meet you at the same
time/place/alt the AI was supposed to.
We won’t need a briefing as we know what our job is, I’ll see all that from the
LW AI settings.
TBH, fighting the AI isn’t what Bart and I enjoy, fighting humans is much more
fun.
As you say, even these small changes are a lot of work, and these are the
basics of the mission builder, bear that in mind when expecting really complex
features such as complex, regular radar reports!

Yes, but the difference with these coops is the realistic atmosphere and
aircraft following a prescribed mission, as would happen in real war.
We used to get that in SoW by having a ground controller who would assign us
to raids. Of course, just as in RL, it wouldn't always work out that way, so
not rigidly prescribed and I think this mission builder has captured the
right level of variability in the way the 109s attacked us and maybe/maybe
not the Pe-2s. I think we're missing that part of the storyline on the
dogfight servers.
On a practical note, I'd also have to hide the mission briefing from you and
create an Axis only one. Not only would that be time consuming, but I'd learn
what was coming!
Of course you're welcome to join as Allied.
It might even be interesting to run mission 2 again, to see how it changes.
BTW though we were due to meet the Pe-2s near Ivanovskaya, it wasn't their
home field, so that was why there was no activity visible. The briefing could
do with more complete info.

Can you just add a brand new flight of two 190's at an airfield without
touching any of the existing programming?

I just had a look at the mission file, which I hurriedly edited for the
coop last night. There are up to 12 109s and 6 Fw-190s in the mission,
but a certain amount of randomness.
The 109s that tried to bounce us are actually scheduled to attack the
Pe-2s. Whether they did that before or after us i don't know.
I'm pretty certain it's not possible to make it flyable for Axis humans,
too programmed, mostly air-starts.
