Prolly won’t see too many Fw190’s, if it does get them turning, and low as
well. The F-2 has a real hard fight against the Hurri, it’s essentially a
109E-7 with some streamlining but it is really low on power and can’t turn, if
the hurri gets close the 109F-2 can’t get away.
The Hurri also chews up 110E’s with the 4 20mm’s and easily turns inside them,
so much so the rear gunner struggles to shoot back.

I can't help thinking though that no 190 pilot who knows his aircraft and
keeps a good lookout will find it a threat and even the 109 F2 will be fine
if flown intelligently. Luckily there will be Idiots and low fliers 😏

SC "pull the Tit". I remember it well from IL-2 '46
I've tried out the IIC configuration offline in instant action against 3 x
Bf109F-4. Two chutes and one hole in the ground. Nice.

Like you CIna, I was puzzled by the manual supercharger switch. I've not
found official evidence (but see here towards the end), but I think the Mk1
had a single stage supercharger only. In fact the link above says ..the
addition of this two-stage blower lifted the power of the Merlin XX from
1030 to 1300 hp. Also Wikipedia suggests the Mk 2 could reach 1490 hp and
+16 lbs boost with the Merlin XX engine at 12,500 ft.
That does make nonsense of the CloD hurri performance at high altitude.

Hi Bo,
I did some flying in a Hurricane yesterday. It was worth waiting. Looks
like they depicted it right. Very stable and you can turn really tight.
One thing I noticed was the supercharger switch. I had to swich it
manually. I thought it was automatic. I really need to get some pilot notes
on the Hurri.
Overall I’m very happy with the update and the plane. It was afraid it will
turn out as a big disappointment like p-47 but it didn’t.
I’m only waitnig for the fuel system improvements and with those a button
for checking fuel status in the Hurricane and Spitfire. Yes, the Hurricane
has the same stupid fuel check procedure.
I regained some more confidence in the dev team with this patch but I still
hold off with preordering BON.
Cheers,
Cina

Just tested the new hurricane.
Chosed 4 x hispano, backmirror and went dogfighting @ the Finish server.
Found some BF 109 who wasn’t afraid (yet) of dogfighting the hurricane.
When they choose turning with me I had major advantage and could easily
get behind them and make some kills before they killed me.
First impression. A very good and competitive plane, until the enemy learn
not to turn with it 😊
Best Regards
Bo
