[1stPickPCHelp] Start up problem

I have here a 3yo Gatewat Flexcase, running WinME. Seems lately we are
having problems getting the system to turn on,. The p[ower light registers
as orange(dormant) instead of green. A few times, it has booted but did not
detect the hard drive or any other hardware. Any clues as to what is going
on here?
Is it about to croak?
