media.skills: Media skills opportunities for people with disabilities
This list will work with media providers, people with disabilities, broadcasters and training organisations to share information about opportunities for training, technological work arounds, accessible software and musical equipment as well as government relations. The development of a mobile multi media skills unit is important. The Victorian Department of Planning and Community Development has funded a feasibility study on developing this unit, and interested people are invited to join the list and share ideas.
The list will also provide members with updates and information about international developments as well as providing a voice for people with disabilities to lobby Media providers for better more accessible content.
It will also be a meeting point to share new ideas and employment opportunities for people interested in media and multi media jobs.
