The purpose of this list is for the discussion of Blues Music in and around Connecticut. Blues musicians, bars hosting blues bands and radio personnel who host blues programs are encouraged to post blues events, station programming or other blues related happenings.
Blind musicians, their educators and friends discuss how to use special software from Dancing Dots to read and to write musical notation both in print and in braille. The software also provides verbal descriptions and musical cues. This technology makes it easy for sighted and blind musicians to work together.
Users of the Rodgers Organ and PR-300 MIDI discuss and help with issues concerning the use of MIDI for sequencing and interfacing of samplers as well as creating MIDI files on the instrument as well as with computers using sequencing programs such as Cakewalk and the Notation Program Finale. This group is independent of Rodgers, a member of the Roland Group, and is moderated by Frog Music Press, a publisher of music for MIDI.
