Wow, that's a couple weeks earlier than any report to the Atlas last year, 
Steve.  Please be sure to report it to Atlas eBird.

Go to http://wsobirds.org/images/atlas/ChronologyCharts.pdf and then do a ;
search for "Horned Lark" to see the breeding chronology plots from 2015.

 While out hiking a field, I came across 2 young Horned Larks that could fly 
already. I had noticed the past couple weeks that I was seeing more than single 
adult birds, along the roadsides.
 Lapland Longspurs are still around in good numbers. Steve Thiessen Dane co.
