I love this idea! This morning 12/18/09 I saw and heard 3 downy woodpeckers ( residents) 1 am blue jay 2 Northern cardinals ( not much singing just a chirp) 4 Am goldfinches in their winter drab numerous bc chickadees and slaty backed juncos 2 red breasted nuthatches 2 white breasted nuts Yesterday morning I was surprised to hear some cedar waxwings in the top of one of the maple trees. none present today. I haven't heard much singing, but i am listening.
