Yesterday morning i observed several flocks of Forster's Terns on in the
Waupun area. A little over a mile west of Waupun on Hwy 68 there was a
flock of 40 or more very near a farm in a flooded field on the south side
of the road. I continued thru Waupun & was detoured north off of Hwy 49
(which is tore up from 49 & 68 towards downtown). I saw about 150 more
Bonaparte's
Gulls on 5 more flooded fields north of Waupun on the 49 South detour
route, & then County Road M, that leads toward Pickett.
I believe that area is Dodge Co.
Thursday i saw a flock of 9 shorebirds land at a flooded field at the
corners of Miller Road & County Road A, south of Big Green Lake in Green
Lake Co. I did not get the ID on them tho. Perhaps Lesser Yellow Legs?
That intersection yielded a Ruffe/Reeve about 10 or 12 years ago.
Good Luck today, Steve Mullen, Redgranite, Waushara Co.
