Susan Glasenapp and I spent a few hours this morning in Warnimont park. I was showing her the wilder side of the park. As we entered from the Kelly Senior Center parking lot, the warblers were thick! I'd say just this side of a fallout! We walked practically the whole length of the park seeing at least 10 species of warblers: Cape May, several, Redstarts, many, Magnolias, several, Orange-crowned, several, Tennessee, several, Palm, Black-poll, Bay-breasted, Nashville, and Pine. Also Susan saw a Great-horned Owl (my back was turned toward it). Also seen were Catbirds, Red-eyed Vireo, Pewee, an unidentified thrush and all the more common birds. Susan, please chime in if I've forgotten anything important! Karen, Steve, I would have called you guys but I neglected to bring my cell phone! New habits come slowly to this old fogey!
