[wisb] Visiting birder info request; Rhinelander Hawk-Owl?

Greetings all,
      I am a visiting Louisiana birder looking to pick up a few lifers in
Wisconsin.  Does anyone have any more up-to-date info on the Rhinelander
Hawk-Owl?  Also, is there an easily accessible place between there and
Madison to see White-winged Crossbills, Goshawks, or grouse, etc.

     Thanks in advance, and any other travel suggestions would be duly
appreciated.  I am but a simple Cajun and not used to all of this snow and
ice.
