Greetings, I took a walk out yesterday 9/1 on the Greenway Dike at Vernon Marsh Wauk. Co. I walked south from Frog Alley Road. There seemed to be a least a couple hundred shorebirds out there. Visibility is seemed better now that the water is down some and mud exposed most of the way out looking to the west. A Northern Harrier was hunting for a time while I was there, 30 Canada Geese where also present. Shorebirds I think I saw were Pectoral Sandpipers, Stilt Sandpipers and Semipalmated Sandpipers, but not 100% on my ID with the books I have. If I have some species ID?d incorrectly please let me know. I have some new birding books coming my way which I hope should help me ID in the near future. Thank you!
