Just got a call from Paul Schilke who got a brief but diagnostic view of the VERMILION FLYCATCHER in the same spot it was at earlier. This is Stebbinsville and Whallin Rd near the Dane County border. Quentin originally found it much closer to the road in the SW corner of the lake but when we relocated it after, it had moved to the NE corner of the lake. This is where Paul just saw the bird. It seems to prefer a snag that comes out of the water near the shore. There is a red barn in the background in the general direction. If it's on the far side of the lake, you'll need a scope to see the bird. Good luck, it isn't gone yet!
